The natural toothpaste is said to not contain conventional whitening ingredients such as bleaching agents or artificial flavors. Traditionally, whitening toothpastes contain a number of ingredients like hydrogen peroxide or silica.
Tom’s of Maine says its natural tooth whitening formula is based on three naturally sourced silicas that combine to remove tartar and stains without damaging tooth enamel. Simply White, as it is referred to by Tom’s of Maine, joins the line of natural toothpastes totaling 14, all of which have no artificial preservatives, animal ingredients or tested on animals.
Simply White is available at retailers and online in Clean Mint and Sweet Mint flavors. The product will begin arriving in U.S. stores this July at a price of $4.99 for a 4.7 oz tube.
