The Artisan Botanical Perfume packaging is made from recycled, biodegradable paperboard, using no glue and vegetable-based inks. Moreover, the natural perfume is contained in diminutive wooden pots made from beech wood sourced from sustainable forests.
Pacific Perfumes offers a range of perfumes made entirely of ingredients that are ethically sourced, 100% natural and 100% botanical. The New Zealand based company was founded in 2003.
The packaging design contest took place last week at the HPA Global expo in New York. The conference and exposition featured over 600 exhibitors from the cosmetics, personal care, skin care, fragrance and wellness industries. More than 200 products were submitted to the design contest from major brands, niche players and indie companies.
A committee of 100, made up of packaging executives, designers, suppliers and media, selected the finalists and winners in 11 different categories. The committee based their judging on the following criteria:
The “Green Packaging” category accepted products from all categories, but the packaging was required to utilize sustainable and/or renewable materials and technology.
